Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations or another Management Level Individual, a Vice President of Operations oversees the management and operations of all retail operations. A Vice President of Operations provides leadership for and directly supervises a team of Business Consultants who provide ongoing guidance and support to Family Fare Franchisees. As a key member of the Family Fare Operations Team, a Vice President of Operations will assist in developing Company goals, plans, and procedures designed to improve operational performance. Responsibilities for this position will include overseeing, guiding, and leading the development and implementation of the retail strategy of all retail stores within the Family Fare system.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Oversee the management and operations of all stores.
2. Protect the company assets: cash, property, equipment, and inventory, and ensure that all Contractual Agreements between Family Fare and Family Fare Franchisees are being upheld.
3. Promote and ensure that stores operate in accordance with the Family Fare values, procedures, image excellence and Brand Standards Manual.
4. Provide leadership, direct supervision, and development for Business Consultants in overseeing the management and operations of all Family Fare stores.
5. Assist in developing and executing Company goals, plans, and procedures for store operations.
6. Develop and implement programs to provide training, consulting, and mentoring for Franchisees in all aspects of successful business and store operations.
7. Assist Business Consultants in recruiting, screening, and selecting Franchisees.
8. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local licenses, permits, and regulatory mandates, including Human Resources, ABC, Tobacco, Lottery, Safety, and NCDENR requirements.
9. Set priorities, manage time, and maintain professional attitude and behavior.
10. Help recruit and select candidates for the position of Business Consultant.
11. Provide regular feedback to key constituents on operational issues and seek key constituents’ feedback on any requirement, policy, or procedure within the domain of a Vice President of Operations.
