5 K Great Human Race
Family Fare President, Lee Barnes, volunteered at the 5 K Great Human Race on Saturday March 23 in downtown Durham, benefitting hundreds of triangle non-profits.
In addition to setup and welcoming duties, Dr. Barnes was the Official Race Starter, setting the racers to their mark and firing the starting horn.
After sounding the horn, Lee also slipped back behind the starting line and jogged the race as well. It was a beautiful brisk day through the lovely Forest Hills neighborhood and adjacent to Forest Hills Shopping Center, Forest Hills Family Fare, and Forest Hills Park. The final leg concluded down the American Tobacco Trail and back to the starting point at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The GREAT HUMAN RACE is the largest collaborative fundraising event in the Triangle operated by The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center, benefiting hundreds of nonprofits.
